Multi-level structures are constructed from galvanised tubing and clamps which allow for quick assembly and simple on-site modification.
For mezzanine floors and catwalks, GMS Systems generally uses epoxy coated slotted steel panel flooring. It has the following benefits, when compared with steel plate or wooden flooring:
- It allows improved air ventilation
- Fire reticulation requirements may be reduced as water can pass through the floor
- Lighting requirements can be reduced, as light from the upper level will contribute to the illumination on the ground level
- Water will not damage the floor
- The flooring has a safe, functional and aesthetic appeal
Kickplates are installed around all catwalks and mezzanines to improve the safety of operators on and under the mezzanine.
